Three Day Weekend.
Hi all,
Well last night I worked from about 0500 - 2045 so for almost 16 hours. It started with a nice game of 0500 dodge ball on the tennis courts, that by the way have no lights, that lasted all of about 30 minutes, no one could see the ball. After that it was a full day of school, well not really we had two hours of lecture, and the rest was basically sittin' around and bs'n. Then we had a pizza party to acknowledge our half way point. That's right almost half way through on March 31st 2006 I'll be a MM3 (petty officer). We also watched a movie from the history channel about submarines, it was ok, but I basically already knew most of what it covered. After class I started my Watch Qualifications, basically talk with other students that are in the pipeline that have already graduated A School about security. Once you show you have knowledge about a certain security area, they sign your "Qual Card". The whole class has 12 hours required this weekend, which sucks because most classes have 3 weekends to get 12 hours in. So last night I spent 6 hours after class going over this stuff. Came home had dinner then went to bed as I was tired. Then this morning up at 0500 to get ready for duty (Cleaning, etc...) after about 15 minutes of duty we were done so I put in the rest of my hours on watch quals.
Well our plans tomorrow are to drive to Georgia to visit a shipmates family. Lisa and I are excited to kinda get away for a day, and it will be cool that this is the first family of a ship mate I am meeting. We promise to take lots of pictures and we will post them by Monday Hopefully. Well I will talk to you later have a nice weekend.
