Well we are on our way to The D in hopes of a game 7, I'd actually settle on a Tigers win in game 6. See you all soon.

World Series here we come (or at least I hope)

Well after a nerve racking 20 minutes of waiting online, I was able to purchase three tickets to Game 7. The seats aren't very good, well not that Comerica has any really bad seats there just not very close to the action, but hey it's game 7 and if there is a game 7 no one will care where I was sitting just that I was there when I tell the story. So I really hope there is a game 7, but if not and the Tigers win, I'll just use the money on a jacket or something. Well I've done some minor research on the odds of the series going to 7 and here are the results:

mathematically speaking: 31.25%
Historically speaking(1905-2005): 36.1%
Historically speaking(1952-2002): 45.3%

(Figures courtesy of http://www.aip.org/isns/reports/2003/080.html with some minor updates to make the figures current)

So I figure to have at least a decent shot at seeing the game. I haven't yet decided on when I will be coming up to the D. I think that if the series looks close and there is a game 6 then I will come up and chance it. Hey even if there is no game 7 if the Tigers win I can still have a good time with some old friends. Anyway I will make sure to post updates on the blog outline the chances of game 7 and my feelings. So everyone hope for a game 7.

Go Tigers!

Sorry all

Sorry all for the lack of updates, things around here have been pretty blah for the last couple of weeks. I have to weigh in Wednesday at 0530 for my semi-annual Physical Readiness Test. Well as of right now I am borderline when it comes to my max weight of 205 lbs. So basically that means a lot of running and cutting way back on the amount of food that I eat, basically I'll be on an all soup diet for the next couple of days, (if all goes well I may even be able to cheat a little) . My situation this time is better than it was in the Spring, I had to do the running / soup for 2 weeks, this time its only 4-5 days or so, because I started PTing a lot earlier for this one.

Enough about that, it's been a good couple weeks for Detroit sports fans hasn't it. I am on a quest for Tickets to the World Series, and they go on sale on Monday at 1000, I have a couple tricks up my sleeves to better my chances, but we'll see. It's basically I get tickets online from the retailer or I don't go, I can't afford to spend $400 USD+ a ticket and a round trip flight, so it's Monday or wait until next time.

The Tigers have been about the most exciting thing happening around here lately, oh yeah as of Monday 16Oct06 ~1000 I miss another class-up, for a running total of 4. With my conservative estimation I've been on hold probably around the 15thish longest of all the students currently on hold.

Well talk to you guys on Monday to let you know if I got the tickets or not.
