hello everyone, well I really haven't been that busy because I've had these past few days off work. I had a couple of call-in shifts, and go figure....they didn't need me. Oh well, it is only a seasonal job, I guess they could decide to keep me after the holidays and give me a full time position. That would be nice because I still have not taken advantage of my 65% discount! =) Anyway, I saw the movie Million Dollar Baby on t.v. a couple times recently and since then I've wanted to go see a real boxing match. That is exactly what Jason and I are doing tonight! I'm so Excited! We will be leaving around 7ish and I'm not sure what time it will be over......but it will definitely be an experience. I will be sure to post and tell you how it was and we will probably take pictures too! Bye for now.....Lisa

p.s. Mom and Mom-in law, just want to say Thank you for the anniversary cards....they were really sweet!

Back to work. BLAH!

Well Thanksgiving went really really well, we had 10 sailors over, and they all liked the food. After the Lions lost again (yeah, seasons over right? We might as well go for the #1 pick.) we took everyone home, we went over Ewer's and Buke's house and had another Thanksgiving dinner, they had a deep fried turkey, it was good. Next year I plan on making one turkey in the oven and frying the other. Other then that Lisa worked most of the weekend, it was busy. I sat around and watched football.

Today kinda sucked, we were real busy at work, my access to the building expired because I've been here so long (Long being a relative term, because in the grand scheme of things it hasn't been that long, but comparatively speaking I should be gone) so I had to deal with a rude person 3 times trying to fix that issue. Apparently I'm not the only person that feels this person is a unpleasant experience, but I shouldn't have to deal with them again unless I am here for another year (let's hope not). Then I jacked up and gave the wrong package to the wrong person so I had to track them down and get the package back, luckily this person didn't eat any of the cookies inside.

Lisa went to the Gym tonight, so she's not home right now, and tomorrow she goes to her Last Thursday Bunko (they meet on the last Thursday of the month, if you can figure that one out let me know).

Here is my College football rant of the day:

I understand that Michigan may not deserve a second crack at that College down South, and I am ok with that. But the BCS sucks, I mean come on a computer actually ranked USC ahead of said College down South, that is just asinine if you ask me. Div 1 needs a playoff, plain and simple. I'm all for traditions, I think it was awful that Texas played in the Rose Bowl, so they already Jacked up tradition so why not just jack it up all the way and come up with something that works.

I'm Out.

Home Sweet Home!!!

Hi all,

Yesterday morning it was snowing in Charleston, it was so nice it reminded me of home. It was funny all the southern people were like oh my it's snowing. It wasn't even sticking and they were all amazed. Lisa slept right through it, till about 1130 when I came home for lunch, that woman can sleep, she's loving her new job. Well tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we will be hosting so I need to start getting everything ready.

Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving.

To another 4 years/ Thanksgiving

hey guys, well Jason and I have decided that we are going out to dinner for our 4 year anniversary.......yeah, can you believe its been 4 years already?! We will go out to dinner Friday or Sunday night. I'm not sure where we will go, I'll have to think about that. I'm also not sure about buying each other gifts....we have a few more people to buy for on our Christmas list, so I'd rather spend money on them. Jason said we can buy small gifts for each other, we will see. As you know we will be having about 10 people over for Thanksgiving so we will have a full house ! Well I'm gonna get going, i need to start cleaning my house before General Hospital is on! Lord knows I can't miss that! Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know we will.... =) Lisa
p.s. Sara, we hope you get better soon sweetheart, you are in our thoughts and prayers! Love, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jason

Thanksgiving and football.

Well this weekend besides having duty on Sunday we will be getting ready for Thanksgiving. So far for sure we have 4 straight out of boot camp sailors coming over, also we have invites out to some friends from A school, so maybe at the most around 12ish over. Along with getting ready I will be spending most of Saturday getting ready to watch "the Game". What game you ask? The only game on the schedule, well at least it should be. Go Blue!!!

Anyway for Thanksgiving Lisa and I will be going all out, Turkey, Mashed Taters, corn, green bean casserole (Lisa wants that), homemade breads, and homemade pies. It should be quite the feast.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.

R.I.P. Bo

Go Blue!!!!

Empty nest syndrome

Well, I'm experiencing a little empty nest syndrome now that buke left. We went over his house last night, and it is pretty awesome, it's like 5000 sq ft. It is huge, it has a sweet dock right on the cooper river too. I've been kinda bored lately with Lisa working at the outlet mall, I'm happy that she is actually happy at work, I know the Vet was a struggle for a while, but it served a very good purpose in our lives so I am pleased that she held in there as long as she did. Then I realized that we will be working completely different schedules so that kinda sucks, but we should be able to work it out that we have lunch together everyday, and I'll try to take half days the days she has off.

Well we signed up to adopt some sailors for Thanksgiving, so that should be fun, they should be straight out of boot camp, so that will be interesting. We plan on having anywhere from 3 to 8 sailors over, so we'll see how that works out.

Well it's darn near official, we will not be coming home for Christmas this year, Financially it just won't work out, Lisa working at the Mall that will be the busy season, and I'm kinda low on Leave. Once I graduate the next phase of training I will have to take 17 days of leave, so we are saving up some leave (or trip up to the D last month kinda hurt the ol' leave balance.) Anyway so the invite is open to anyone who would like to come down for the holidays.

Great Season Tigers!!

Well, sorry for the late post. But as you all know I did not get to see a world series game in person, which stinks, and to make matters worse the Tigers lost, but hey how many people can actually say they had World Series Tickets?

Anywho we had a nice trip anyway, we got to go to White Castle 3 times, went to Mr Pita a couple of times, saw our family, and spent some quality time away from South Carolina.

Lisa and I know have a house guest for what should be no longer than a week, although they are welcome for as long as he needs. He got orders to continue training up in NY but there were some issues so almost everyone had to come back down here, so until he can coordinate a place with my other buddies that also had to come back down he is staying in Tony's room. Tony is taking it pretty well too, not upset at all just a little curious. Anyway It was nice seeing Detroit, not sure the next time we will be up, but when we do we will focus on seeing friends.

Go Blue.
