Saturday October 13th
Hello all,
Well this week went by pretty fast. I had 2 tests this week and overall I'm disappointed with my grades. Although I must admit I am doing pretty well all things considered. On my first test I got a 3.73 / 4.0. I was very disappointed with that score, I felt I really knew the material and after looking what I got wrong it was a bunch of nitpicky stuff, so I felt I should have gotten a 3.9 or so but whatever. Then the test I had on Friday I really felt I got a 4.0 / 4.0, but I only got a 3.92 which is good, but still a little disappointing (I haven't had a chance too look at what I got wrong yet I have to wait till Monday.) I am currently 2/30 in my section with a 3.81 / 4.0 average and I think 18/315 overall in the class after 3 tests. I really don't expect to stay up this high but we will see what happens.
If you told me before I started school I would have a 3.81 I probably would have taken it in a heart beat, but after taking the tests and really knowing the material but making little stupid mistakes it is a little frustrating.
Lisa and I went out last night for dinner and ice cream. Again the service was a little lacking (they forgot our cheese sticks I can't really be that disappointed because truth be told I probably should not be eating cheese sticks anyway but forgot them they did, and they gave us free drinks and soup, so I can't complain too much and I didn't even ask either) but the food was decent and the atmosphere was really nice. It was a quaint little Italian restaurant. Well after dinner we decided to get some ben and jerry's. Well on the way back to the car we got a little turned around, which normally wouldn't be an issue but we were in a garage that charged 1.00 usd an hour and we only had 5.00 usd cash on us and our time was about to run out so we are walking back and forth downtown looking for this restaurant. Then I saw a guy in a wheel chair that was having a hard time getting up the sidewalk ramp so I helped him out (he was missing a leg) and then I was like have a nice evening. Then he asked for some food, which I said I had no money and then he said well can you just buy me a hot dog from the store down the way a little bit. And well I have no problem saying I'm not gonna give you money, but when it comes to food I guess I can't say no. So then we go looking for this party store to buy this guy a hot dog (all while thinking man we are gonna be late getting our car and then I'm gonna have to find an atm) so I finally find this place, and guess what they are out of hot dogs. So I buy the guy a sandwich and some chips. So I give this guy the food and I'm like alright see ya later, then he asks me for a pack of smokes. I think it is even easier to say no to buying homeless people smokes than it is saying no to giving them money. But anyway we find the garage and it is exactly 5.00 usd. So after doing my good deed we still made it in time.
Well sorry for all the rambling,
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
